	Elisabeth-Schneider-Prize The Elisabeth Schneider Foundation, Freiburg, in collaboration with the Ensemble Aventure, is pleased to announce the „Elisabeth-Schneider-Prize 2005“ as an International Competition of Composition. Its aim is to support compositions for ensembles in the field of New Music. This competition is open to composers as well as groups of composers and there is no age restriction.CompositionOnly compositions that have not been performed, published or awarded at any other competition can be submitted. Arrangement The composition should be arranged to include at least 3 and no more than 10 performers. The following instruments are at the composer’s disposal:- flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon- trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba- violin, viola, violoncello, double bass- piano, harp, guitar, percussionYou are not allowed to use any instrument twice. Duration The duration of the composition is unrestricted.ParticipationThe closing date for the entries is the 31 March 2005 (postmark). The compositions should be sent to theEnsemble AventureZasiusstr. 74D- 79102 FreiburgBy this date. The Ensemble Aventure guarantees that the material will be passed on anonymously to the jury.Entries must include the following (as the content will be made anonymous, all enclosures should be marked with a code name):- 3 copies of the composition’s score- a sealed envelope containing detailed information about the contestant.Entries that do not comply with this request cannot be entered in the competition.JuryThe jury members are:Meret Forster MDR Halle/LeipzigGerhard R.
