	R O T T E R D A M World Bass Clarinet Convention 2005 H O L L A N D PO Box 63054 3002 JB Rotterdam The Netherlands info@worldbassclarinet.nl www.worldbassclarinet.nl First prize is ?1500 The winning composition will be the set piece for the second round of the Henri Selmer Bass Clarinet Competition,October 2005. And It will also be performed during the convention’s final concert by the winner of the Henri Selmer Bass Clarinet Competition And Published by the World Bass Clarinet Foundation Submitted compositions which merit recognition will receive an honourable mention Summary of the competition; The entry must be between 5 and 8 minutes duration The entry must be for bass clarinet (going down to low C!) and piano The entry must be in score form only with the bass clarinet part written in B flat The score may be handwritten, but only if clearly legible Regulations • To enter the Composition Competition you will have to submit your entry before 1st June, 2005. N.B. Compositions received after this date will not be considered • Open to composers of all ages and nationalities • Registration fee ? 25 (non-refundable upon withdrawal of the candidate) • The composer’s name must not appear on the score • Each entry must be accompanied by the enrolment form to be found on this website.This form includes a statement to be signed by the composer asserting that they are the sole creator of the composition and that they possess all legal rights to the work • Candidates must sign to agree to have their work published by the World Bass Clarinet Foundation and played at the second round of the Henri Selmer Bass Clarinet Competition • The chairman of the jury will be Henri Bok • Other jury members will be Geert van Keulen, David Loeb • The decision of the jury is final • The results of the competition will be made available, by email or letter, from 1st July • Details of the winning composition will be posted on this website Please send all composition competition entries to; WBCC Secretary 10 Denby Court Netherfield Nottingham NG4 2RJ England Remember to include the composition score, a completed registration form (found on this website) and the registration fee.
