Her career was followed by more than normal attention and everybody hoped that this Uzbeki fugitive would become a Belgian citizen very soon. She became member of No Limits Gymnastics in November 1998 and was attending school in the Royal Atheneum of Brasschaat. Katia had everything to make a break trough internationally and to help the Belgian Rhythmics through a very difficult transitional period. Her routines stood out and were virtually unrivaled. Her routines were proof of unseen working effort and endurance. Like nobody else she knew how to combine difficulty with beauty of movement into fantastic and sometimes emotional performances. Katia won practically every existing title in Belgium and left her competitors far behind, with the sole exception of her team-mate Jackie Steinke. No Limits Gymnastics did everything it could in order to help this amazing talent obtain a Belgian passport. The indifference of the authorities was in stark contrast to the efforts and sacrifices she made herself. With empty hands she had to witness how in the neighbouring countries, athletes like she got their official papers much faster. In the summer of 2002 she made a last attempt. Together with her coach Jana Veselб, she started working on 4 fantastic, completely new routines of the highest difficulty. It looked as if the qualification for the World Championships in Budapest 2003 could not escape her anymore. When in September 2002, her file got stuck again in the administrative labyrinth, she decided at last, being very disappointed to quit. At that moment Belgium lost one of its best gymnasts ever. Ekaterina Sarsatskich was the most talented gymnast that competed for No Limits Gymnastics until today. Achievements The press say "Best Gymnast - Virtually unknown". See the article (only available in Dutch) and also following the Belgian Open in 2002: "Hoping for Good News" 1st place in the Provincial Championships of Antwerp 2002 2nd place in the Flemish Championships 2002 1st place in Open Belgian Championships 2002 1st place in Interclub Championships of Flanders 2002 2nd place in the overall competition No Limits Open 2002 and winner of the Senior Hoop & clubs in the finals. 1st place in the overall competition No Limits Open 2001 and winner of the Senior Hoop in the finals. 3rd place in the International RG-CUP 2001 in Bretten 1st place in the International RSG-CUP 2001 in Bochum 3rd place in the International Tournament France 2001 in Venissieux and winner of the Ball final. 4th place in the International Rhythmic Cup 2001 in Verviers 2nd place in the Belgian Championship 2001 in Gent 3rd place in the Flemish Championship 2001 in Mol 2nd place in the Provincial Championship Antwerp 2001 in Herentals 1st place in the RG International Tournament – Team Competition in Mol and winner of the Rope & Ball finals. 6th place in the International Rhythmic Cup 200 in Verviers 5th place in the Flemish Championship 2000 in Gent 2nd place in the Match International G.R. d’ Adrimont in Verviers 2nd place in the Antwerp Provincial Championship 2000 in Malle 2nd place in the Flemish Brabant Provincial Championship 2000 in Aarschot Цитировать
