Of 62 parasitized prinia nests, two-thirds contained two or more cuckoo finch eggs laid by the same female. Parasitic eggs made up the majority in 68% of nests and there were equal numbers of host and parasitic eggs in 19% of nests. Just 13% of parasitized nests contained more host eggs than parasitic eggs. |
