http://www.beethoven-comp.at/ CONDITIONS OF ENTRY The International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna which takes place every four years is open to pianists of both sexes and all nationalities born between January 1st, 1973 and December 31st, 1988. Under no circumstances will exceptions be made to this age limit. The competition is open to the public and consists of an entry examination and three stages. The entry examination for the 12th International Beethoven Piano Competition will be held in February 2005 in Tokyo, Seoul, New York City, London, Paris, Bonn, Berlin, Vienna. The third stage will take place in the Great Hall of the Musikverein with the ORF-SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA under the conductor Bertrand de Billy and will be broadcast by the Austrian Radio. Candidates will be judged on a point system and prizes will be awarded to those who reach the highest total of points from the three successive stages. Closing date of application: September 30th, 2004 (date as per postmark) |
