Perhaps with a game this expansive and rooted in pseudo-reality people are expecting more depth? More intellectual resonance? Does the absence of these touchstones equal a knock against it or just a missed opportunity? Guilty pleasures don't need justification in order to be satisfying and I think the most valid criticism would be to judge the game on what it attempted to provide and missed. |
